A Church in the Community for the Community

Our heart at MBC is that we can serve the needs of the local community in a relevant and unique way. We have several groups run by the church that meet regularly, catering for a range of local people, and our vision is to continue to seek and put into action new and innovative ways of serving and working alongside the local residents, businesses and users of Morden.

Morden itself is made up of an exciting and diverse mix of people. Many people come through the town centre to use the transport links. Others come to do their weekly shop. For others it is their place of work and for a large proportion it is where they live. We believe that the church can play a positive and distinctive role in the lives of all these groups of people, through engaging with and serving them.

Beyond Morden

MBC financially supports many mission and aid projects overseas, either through ongoing regular commitments, or by one-off donations.

Our main focus overseas is through Zimkids, a church-based initiative aiming to provide Zimbabwean children with a Hope and a Future in spite of the current situation. Launched by MBC, and partnering with Highlands Presbyterian Church in Harare, Zimkids has set up this child sponsorship programme and community support network, caring for many children and families in Zimbabwe.
