Hi Guys
Where does time go? I’m sure it was yesterday i last blogged but the diary says it’s 2 weeks! There’s been so much going on and juicy stuff for a blog too.
I was hit last week yet again by the power of words. When someone speaks of what God is doing or has done in their life is so powerful i really donk’t think we fully appreciate it. I heard 2 stories in one day of healings and breakthrough that had happened to people in our church. I was so lifted and encouraged. Yet again on Sunday we heard stories from individuals about what God has been doing and never fails to build us up. I’ve always been an advocate of the pwoer of testimony, but i think i’ve been blown away by the magnitude of the impact of such things.
Why is it so powerful? I guess it’s applied theology in the purest form. “This is my faith, this is my God, these were circumstances and this is what God has done”. No-one can argue with that. Also, it lifts our faith to realms that we left behind yesterday, last month, or yester-year. I tink over time the daily grind of life and its disappointments saps us of faith - which as Hebrews says is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see - BUT hearing a tesimony adds to our faith level. We’re rmeinded that God is all powerful, all loving, and interested in human life - my life! As a listener, we then think, ‘maybe that oculd happen to me too, maybe God will do that here, maybe God loves me too?’
So why dont’ we do it more? I guess my first thought is the devil has us wrapped up in so many different ways: a mixture of being self-counscious / shy / not wanting to talk about ourselves / fearful of looking too victorious or arrogant etc. But the reality is when we speak of what God does in our lives, our words carry power, prophetic power i believe, that opens up the possiblity for similar things to happen in other people’s lives. And most significantly we give God glory and remind the spiritual realm of who’s the boss in this world - Jesus Christ.
OOOOh i do love a good tesimony. Keep em coming!

Hi Gavin.
Words are powerful. I know you may not believe this but I was as a child and adult very shy and did not speak much at all.
What changed you ask! CHUCKLE
It was GOD.Not just in the belief and trust in HIM but when praying verbally to him in a dialog starts. You find out what GOD is really like and speak restoration words. He knows what he wants to change and heal in individuals but we must actually pray and be in communion with him. Not in a passive way but chat/talk like a friend confidant and LORD.
WORDS move mountains. Ps I have a booklet about words and quantum physics that show the power of words on the quantum level!!!!
Very interesting!!!
Cheers Gav.
