Exciting new series for Lent

The World is changing rapidly:  The Church in the UK is in decline:  It’s time to wake up and smell the roses!
Six tough questions for the church to face as the future presses so swiftly into our present.

Join us this Lent as we tackle ‘The Present Future’, a series designed by Reggie McNeal that helps us identify the wrong questions we have been asking, and directs us towards 6 tough questions that we must face as church.  ‘The Present Future’ Lent series involves the sermons on the 6 Sundays before Easter, and midweek teaching on DVD from Reggie McNeal, screened at the MBC Centre.  We are encouraging all Small groups to try to attend one of the showings, for a 6 week period as a group, or if you are not in a group simply  come along  and be willing to join in some group discussions:

Tuesdays at 7.45 pm starting 23 Feb
Wednesdays at 7.45 pm starting 24 Feb
Wednesday lunchtimes (10 – 12 noon), starting 24 Feb    all for 6 weeks

Perhaps you would like to combine this series with your own plans for lent. People often use Lent as a time to draw close to god, set more time aside for prayer and reading the Bible, fast on a regular basis, or give up a particular food or lifestyle feature. Whatever you choose to do, may we all hear the voice of the Spirit of God as we seek him for our community and nation.

MBC Gearbox courses

The Gearbox is a series of courses run at MBC designed to enhance faith, deepen understanding, and ensure growth as Christians.

There are 5 gears, just as in a car. You can’t cruise at 70 without going through the gears, so each gear builds on the material of the previous one. You’ll notice there’s no neutral and no reverse!

We are running each of these courses this term right from 1st Gear which is the Alpha Course, 2nd Gear which is about membership and belonging, 3rd Gear which focuses on maturing as a Christian; 4th Gear is about developing our spiritual gifts and 5th Gear which trains us to be more missional.  Browse the calandar to find out when these courses are running and if you would like us to put your name down for one of them, please email mbc@faithinmorden.com.

Please email us your prayer requests to prayer@faithinmorden.com and we will pray for you as a church.
